Get ready, Danville: the Caesars empire is about to arrive in the heart of Southern Virginia
After much anticipation (and a slight delay), Caesars Virginia is set to open its doors on December 17th, ushering in a new era of luxury and entertainment for the region. The grand opening promises to be a spectacle worthy of the Caesars name, with a star-studded lineup and a celebration that will light up the Danville skyline.
Planned Grand Opening Highlights
Kicking off the festivities is a parade of race cars and supercars, led by five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman. The parade will wind through Danville’s streets, culminating at the resort’s entrance. Caesars Entertainment and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian executives will join community leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking the resort’s opening. As night falls, a dazzling fireworks and drone show will illuminate the sky above the resort and the historic “Three Sisters” smokestacks, a nod to Danville’s industrial past.
Caesars Virginia is a full-fledged resort destination designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Here’s what meeting planners and attendees can expect:
Luxurious Accommodations: A 320-room hotel tower offering stunning panoramic views of the Southern Virginia skyline.
World-Class Dining: From Gordon Ramsay’s signature restaurant to a vibrant food hall, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
Non-Stop Entertainment: A 2,500-seat live entertainment venue will host a variety of shows and performances, while the casino floor offers endless gaming action.
Meeting and Event Space: With 50,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, Caesars Virginia is also an ideal destination for conferences and events.
More Than Just Gaming
Caesars Virginia is poised to become a major economic driver for the region, creating jobs and generating significant tax revenue. The temporary casino, which opened in May 2023, has already contributed over $66 million to the City of Danville and The Commonwealth.”We know that there is tremendous excitement for our grand opening, and we appreciate everyone’s patience with this short delay,” said Chris Albrecht, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars Virginia. “The Team has been working around the clock to officially open the doors of Caesars Virginia, and we cannot wait to begin welcoming guests on Dec. 17.”
