New Marriott Bonvoy® benefits at MGM properties raise the bar for meeting and event value in Las Vegas
MGM Resorts and Marriott International have added powerful new incentives for those booking meetings and events across Las Vegas and beyond. Under the MGM Collection within the Marriott Bonvoy® umbrella, the two hospitality giants are rolling out expanded loyalty benefits designed to reward both planners and attendees—a rare dual-track approach in the industry.
The initiative enhances Marriott Bonvoy Events, allowing eligible planners to earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits when booking new group business through MGM’s group sales channels. In a strategic shift, individual attendees who pay for their own stay as part of a qualifying event can now earn Marriott Bonvoy points, too—stacking on even more value if they’re also MGM Rewards members.
“This collaboration brings added value and enhances the overall event experience,” said Stephanie Glanzer, Chief Sales Officer & SVP of MGM Resorts. “It’s a meaningful advancement in our shared vision to transform hospitality through exceptional events and rewards.”
What’s New for Planners
Under the enhanced Marriott Bonvoy Events structure:
Planners can earn 2 points per $1 USD spent on qualifying charges, such as master-billed guest rooms and catering at participating MGM Collection destinations.
Each event may also yield 1 Elite Night Credit for every 20 room nights actualized, up to 20 credits per event.
Smaller gatherings aren’t excluded: Catering-only events also qualify for Marriott Bonvoy points, broadening the appeal for receptions, off-sites, or intimate gatherings.
What’s New for Attendees
In a rare move, Marriott Bonvoy is extending loyalty perks to individual attendees of qualifying events who are not master-billed:
Members can earn 10 Bonvoy points per $1 USD on eligible room-related charges, such as room rate, in-room dining, and minibar spend.
Attendees also earn Elite Night Credits, unlocking tier-based perks like upgrades, late checkout, and bonus points.
Those enrolled in both Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards can earn in both programs simultaneously on qualifying spend, including spa treatments and dining.

Why It Matters
The update is a clear signal that Las Vegas is doubling down on loyalty integration—a key trend as planners look for destinations that not only deliver on space and service, but also offer personal value for decision-makers and attendees alike.
For large corporate programs and association events, the ability for both planners and participants to rack up points, credits, and rewards status could become a key differentiator—especially in a city where dozens of properties vie for group business.
MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy includes marquee properties such as Bellagio, ARIA, Mandalay Bay, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, offering access to more than 4 million square feet of meeting space across the Strip.
For planners managing tight budgets and high expectations, this expanded loyalty structure presents a clear win. By aligning rewards with both group bookers and individual attendees, MGM and Marriott are not just competing on price or space—but on long-term value. And in 2025’s meetings landscape, that might be the most important perk of all.
