Here Comes Da Fuzz

Color and design authority has named Peach Fuzz as the color of the year

The Pantone Color Institute™ a consulting service that forecasts global color trends and advises companies on color in brand identity and product development, for the application and integration of color as a strategic asset, has chosen Peach Fuzz as the Color of the Year for 2024.

What is PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz? According to the institute, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures the desire to nurture ourselves and others. It’s a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul. “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless,” says Leatrice Eiseman Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™

When using the color in event design and when creating marketing materials, the institute says a clean peach tone with a vintage vibe, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz reflects the past yet has been refashioned to have a contemporary ambiance, enabling it to seamlessly display its presence in both the physical and digital world.

The goal of the Color of the year program is to help companies and consumers better understand the power color can have. We want to highlight color’s role as a silent language to teach them how to leverage color’s power and expressiveness to influence perception — whether it be to create a more successful design strategy that will increase consumer engagement, or to better showcase your own personal identity.

Recognized around the world as a leading source of color information through seasonal trend forecasts, custom color development, and palette recommendations for product and corporate identity, the Pantone Color Institute partners with global brands to leverage the power, psychology and emotion of color in their design strategy.
